Friday, July 26th to Monday, July 29th (three nights and four days).
Location: Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park, Colorado
What is Deep Water?
We believe adventures in the outdoors allow people to connect in ways we’ve never connected before. The wilderness offers the chance to unplug from the busyness of our culture and find solitude for healing and reflection.
We believe in experiential learning, a kind of “learning by doing” where our shared experience leads to reflection, discussion and discovery.
We believe in caring for each other’s souls. Internal Family Systems is a gentle, therapeutic modality that involves listening, asking questions and carefully walking with someone into the deeper areas of their life.
An Example of our Experience
On this four-day backpacking expedition, we will enter the Rocky Mountain National Park (Colorado) on the Friday morning of July 26th and begin our Journey at the Finch Lake Trailhead in the Wild Basin area. Our first day’s moderate-to-strenuous hike is just over seven miles, during which we will gain roughly 2,100 feet of elevation and make camp at the subalpine Pear Lake, which sits just above 10,000 feet.
We will set camp at Pear lake for three nights. We will be the only overnight group in the area. This is a very hard permit to secure. This could be a once in a lifetime experience! In one of the most beautiful places on the planet, participants will experience individual and group Internal Family Systems (IFS) sessions, guided meditations, and experiential activities as we share meals, explore surrounding attractions and take in Rocky Mountain National Park’s astonishing landscape.
We will hike down and exit the park no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday July 29th. An dinner out will follow, for a chance to debrief and connect before parting ways.
